FAQs
What is this program about? Boss Club Summer is an incubator type program designed to teach high school students the fundamentals of entrepreneurship. Students are taken along a path to launch a business at Pop-Up Day by the end program.
Can my student participate completely online? Unfortunately, no. In-person mentorship meetings are mandatory for completion.
My child has a summer job/school. Can he/she still participate? Once students are able to keep up with the digital classes, attend the evening mentorship sessions, and demonstrate that they've grasped the concepts, they can participate in Pop-Up Day. Bootcamp IS NOT mandatory.
What costs are involved? General registration is free. Participation in the Pop-Up is $20. Other costs depend on what your child will need to launch on Pop-Up Day.
What other resources will be required? You'll need internet connection to access the training course AND parental involvement, supervision, and support.
What happens at Bootcamp? We use this time to reinforce what the students were taught and allow them to further develop their innovation, collaboration, and communication skills.
Will transportation be provided to attend events? No, sorry. You'll have to arrange on-time, safe, and reliable transportation for your student to attend in-person meetups and bootcamp.
Can I host this program at my own school or organization independently of the core group? Let's chat. Send an email to [email protected].
What's the difference between this and Junior Achievement? The missions are similar but the methods are different. This program is designed to help students develop and launch their own, individual businesses from the ground up.
Can my child who is completing primary or high school in this year be able to participate? Yes. Parents can determine if their upcoming 7th graders are advanced enough to handle the demands of the program.
